Full Text:
yet how often nothing
is still something–
the absence that sits
as a weight in the pit
of the stomach,
the lack that flows
as tears into the deepest
chasm of the soul.
yet, from that nothing
creation sprang forth.
God spoke life into nothing
and breathed life into us.
each morning is a reminder
that the sun will keep on rising,
and that each breath we breathe
is a miracle.
