Litany for Christian Education Month
By Carlene L. Douglas
We acknowledge God’s gifts of knowledge and teaching imparted for our service in
Christian Education.
We will do our best to present ourselves to God as those approved by Him to
serve.
We honor the lives of those who taught us, and commit to be diligent in preparing this
generation for committed service in Christian Education.
We will be guided by God’s light to see the truth and exercise our freedom to make truth known.
We will use our gifts in service to God, with restless determination to keep pace with evolving methods for teaching and serving.
We thank God for Christian educators, past and present, in whose footsteps we trod and from whose insights we learn and teach.
We will encourage those who serve in Christian Education around the world, who teach us through their various languages and unique cultural practices.
We acknowledge our shared interest in serving God. We will rightly explain the word of truth to lead some to Jesus Christ, and others in a stronger relationship with Him. We reaffirm our commitment to service. We will mirror the teachings of our Master Teacher Jesus Christ and pray for God’s wisdom to guide us in light, freedom, and truth.
