To think that . . . love, praise, and worship is turning away from the rational mind is the fall into one more tired modern dichotomy. Reasoning and doctrine are in fact the fuel of praise. . . . Persistence in pondering theological truths is a sine qua non of profound and passionate praise. After all, to be transformed by the renewing of our minds is our spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1-2).
