1 Out of the depths I cry, LORD.
2 O Lord, give ear to me.
LORD, hear my supplication;
and listen to my plea.
3 If you marked our offenses,
who then could stand, O LORD?
4 But you grant us forgiveness
that you may be adored.
5 My hope is in the LORD’s word,
and for the Lord I wait
6 as eager as those who watch
and yearn for morning light.
7 Hope in the unfailing love
