Full Text:
1 O LORD, I will exalt you, for you have lifted me; and you have stopped my foes from rejoicing over me. 2 O LORD, my God, I cried out, 3 from deep within the grave. And you, O LORD, restored me; my life, O God, you saved. 4 Let all his saints sing praises; give thanks unto his name. 5 His anger for a moment; his favor for all time. Though weeping in our sorrow endures through all the night, the sound of our rejoicing shall come with morning’s light. 6 I said, when I had plenty, that I should not be moved. 7 And when my feet were planted, the LORD his favor proved. But when your face was hidden, 8 I cried out in distress, 9 “How can in death I praise and declare your faithfulness?” 10 “O hear me, and be gracious; O LORD, my help and strength!” 11 You heard, and turned my mourning to dancing once again. You took all my contrition, and clothed my soul with praise, 12 that I may not be silent, and thank you, LORD, always. – David P. Regier
