Full Text:
1 The king rejoices in your strength, O LORD, and in your care. 2 You granted all his heart’s desire, and you have heard his prayer. 3 You welcomed him with every kind of grace you could unfold. Rich blessings you have given him; you crowned his head with gold. 4 He asked for life from you, O LORD: you gave it endlessly. 5 His glory shines because you gave him strength and majesty. 6 You blessed him, LORD, by being near; his trust is firm and sure. 7 Because of your unfailing love our king will stand secure. 8 Your hand, O king, will seize your foes; they cringe before your name. 9-10 When you appear, God will destroy them all with dreadful flame. 11 They plot and scheme but flee away 12 before your arrow’s flight. 13 All praise to you, O LORD, our God; we glory in your might. – Marie J.
