Descriptor:
"Still Squabbling," a short poem by Wayne Mali, draws from Luke 23:34 to reflect on our willingness to argue, like the Roman soldiers at the cross, showing our lack of self-awareness and faith.

Still Squabbling – Luke 23:34
Are we still like
Those Roman soldiers
Squabbling before the Lord
Seeking short term gain
Rather than the bigger picture
That stands above
This world will squabble
Over all it can gain
When really all it needs
Is to gain faith within our Lord
No Father, it’s true
We know not what we are doing
