The Pit – Psalm 40:2
The pit tried to hold me
Destroy me, bury me
Not letting the soul go
Extinguishing the fire within
But He can for victory
Lifted me so high
Setting my feet
Upon firmer ground
A place where I could be
Addictions hold broken
By the victory He held
And I’ll be ever thankful
For each day that I hold
