Descriptor:
"Hate and Anger Within," a short poem by Wayne Mali, draws from Leviticus 19:17-18 to remind us that God calls us to let go of hatred and anger, because holding on only damages ourselves and others.

Hate And Anger Within – Leviticus 19:17-18
Don’t let it tear you up
That hate and anger within
It won’t make it better
Or bring you peace
You cannot hate them
Whatever they’ve done
We have so learn to live with them
Everyone
So take a moment
To find quiet and pray
And ask of the Lord
That they may find their way
To see the world as the Father
And live as one
Maybe if we all did that
One day all the hate would be gone
