Description: This print features the fourth angel blowing his trumpet and one third of the sun, one third of the moon, one third of the stars being struck, and the earth being darkened. An eagle appears with the words “Woe! Woe! Woe!” This and other woodcuts in this 1533 Bible are the work of the German artist, Erhard Altdorfer (d. 1561).
